It’s My Turn!!!
December 14, 2008 – 9:02 pm
Hello friends!
I thought I would let you all know that it really is my turn!! A couple of weeks ago Steve and I got engaged!! I could not be happier. We have no idea when we’ll set the date for — But I really thought I should share the news of our pending wedding.
Steve and I first started dating five years ago. He had a one way ticket to India that was booked for a few months after we began dating. So, we really thought that our relationship had an expire date. Seeing as he’d be gone for a year or so travelling around India and a variety of other countries. We had agreed to go our seperate ways at the time.
However, to my wonderful surprise, I kept getting these amazing packages from India. I can recall going to the post office to a rather disgusted-faced lady behind the counter, holding these grungy packages by the tip of the corner. They would come in hand sown canvas and would be filthy from the journey. I would be so excited to hear something from him, that I would tear it from her hand and rip the package open in the post office. These package would usually include such a warm letter that I would reread endlessly; as well as some trinket or pashmina or some other wonderful Maumbi or Goa find.
It took us a while to recoonect after that trip, but all these years later, we have a wonderful life together and I am so looking forward to spending the rest of my life with my very best friend. Life has such a way of working itself out. It makes me have faith that everything really does happen for a reason.
I can not wait to embark on this new adventure!!

Baby London…
December 7, 2008 – 4:00 pm
Um… Don’t you just LOVE her name?!! Little London was just four weeks old when we did these images. Her mom had told me that she was such a calm baby and almost never cried… I seem to have this affect on babies… they never seem to love my camera in their face. It took London a little while to warm up to me, but once she did… she WAS the calmest little baby!
We shot these images in London’s room and in the living room of their home. It was such a pleasure to finally meet you Christine! Thank you for having me come do these images!
Here are some of the images as well as a little slideshow…

Jennifer and Family
December 7, 2008 – 12:49 pm
I met this family through my work with the Dundas Valley Montisori school. Jennifer called me to come and do a Lifestyle session of her family. I arrived to their home and was so warmly welcomed by two smiling precious little girls! Are they not the most adorable things you’ve ever seen?!
We shot in their house for most of the shoot and then moved outside to capture a few out door shots. Though it was very cold, they braved the temperatures well!
Thank you so much for welcoming me into your home Jennifer and Ed, I had such a great afternoon with all of you!

My absences….
November 25, 2008 – 7:42 pm
Well my cyber friends, I have to apologize, I’ve been slacking on blogging as of late. This has been a bit of a crazy couple of weeks. To start, back in September Steve and I bought a new house. We moved in this past weekend and we’re just in love with it! However, it’s much bigger than our previous accomodations and has occupied a lot of time so far. In addition to the move, we’ve had some issues getting the internet and phone reconnected over here at the new place. We’re all back online and ready to go now though!
A big bonus with the new house is that it has a wonderful, amazing private office for LVP! Originally we were going to use the studio (separate from the house) but changed our minds and have allocated a great space with a private entrance for my new home office. In this industry, most people want to meet outside of business hours and this new space will just make my office hours so much easier to keep! I am so looking forward to meeting with clients here!
Apart from the move, I’ve been shooting like crazy the past couple of weeks and have done a number of lifestyles sessions; a shoot for Mohawk College; and of course the Fantastic Dundas Valley Montessori School photos! So, it’s been a very busy few weeks!
I’ve also not been feeling all that great this week and of course, with the added stress of the move and getting settled, it really hasn’t helped. However, I hope to be on the mend and can be a little more entertaining for the constant stream of housewarming guests we’ve been having…
In the event that you were wondering — Sophia loves her new digs… the backyard is nice and big and is fully fenced for the little monster to tear around with her friends!
Here’s one shot of the living room and a bit of the new office! I’ll post more soon! I can’t wait to get my painting clothes on! I actually happen to have a super cute painting outfit….
I promise to be more prompt with my blogging, friends. I appreciate your patience.
L
